Yerevan

Monastery of Geghard
A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Geghard Monastery is a supremely beautiful monument built in the 13th century and partially carved out of the mountain, surrounded by cliffs and contain a number of churches and tombs, most of them cut into the rock.
Etchmiadzin Cathedral
Opened in 1301 AD and considered the oldest cathedral in the world, it is mother church of the Armenian Apostoli Church, and certainly and not-to-miss site within Armenia. It has been protected by UNESCO since the year 2000.
Lake Sevan
Easy to visit on a day trip from Yerevan and dotted with beaches, Lake Sevan is the largest lake in the Caucasus region, and one of the largest freshwater high-altitude lakes in Eurasia. A trip to this beautiful lake with its stunning setting is a wonderful way to appreciate traveling in Armenia.
Mount Aragats
The highest point of the Lesser Caucasus, Mount Aragats is comprised of a four-peaked volcano and is popular with hikers and climbers around the world, which is best July through September.
